I adore cherries. When I daydream about what my future home will one day look like, a few cherries trees in the backyard is definitely on the list! Their rich flavour makes this smoothie a perfectly refreshing, healthy and satisfying treat on a hot summer day.
Cherry season begins mid-June and runs until August in British Columbia. 95% of cherries in Canada are grown in BC, mostly in the Okanagan Valley. Did you know that a single tree can grow up to 7000 cherries?
I topped this smoothie bowl with Britt's pecan/date/coconut granola, some cacao nibs, coconut flakes and more cherries. This bowl is desserty yet still refreshing!
