Who we are looking for:  
We are looking for someone who loves to be a part of building a small business and contributing to build it through our local and online community. This person is fun, a problem solver, creative thinker, and clear communicator. They will be excellent in customer service, creating content for the blog and newsletter, maintaining business relationships, assist with planning events and workshops, and keeping the plants alive. 
    Ideal Candidate:
    • - Proficient in Google Drive, Google Analytics, SEO, Mailchimp
    • - Experience with Shopify
    • - Personable, fun, conversationalist; finds it easy to connect and talk with people in the store
    • - Goal oriented, organized and responsible with daily work
    • - Can work alone on task oriented projects and easily switch to welcoming customers in the store and focusing on them
    • - Able to find fulfilment in self appointed tasks and can work with confidence and minimal direction
    • - Vision for collaboration, teaching or creating projects
    • - Background in graphic design is a serious bonus
    • - Retail / business experience, and passion for small business
    • - Organized, problem solver, project creator, quick thinker,
    • - Enjoys working as a team and is open to giving and receiving constructive feedback
    • - Proud to be a face of the shop
    • - A creator or maker themselves 

    Some of the tasks expected will be:

    • - Assist in creating and writing content for blog (1-2x/month)  & newsletters- (1-2x month)
    • - Assisting or creating design content for marketing and outreach
    • - Working with the team to plan for events and holidays
    • - Assist with sourcing new product and product trends, including assisting curation for Art Openings
    • - Packaging online orders and setting up delivery schedule with Canada Post
    • - General Shop upkeep and cleanliness
    • - Visual Merchandising
    • - Pinterest Marketing
    • - Arriving to meetings with ideas to contribute 
    • - Creating systems, promotion and sales ideas, and helping to execute them through all marketing channels
    • - Assisting with in-store events such as art openings, pop-up shops, artist visits for custom work (etc) when they land on your work day
    • - Thinking outside the box- using your previous experiences and creativity to help build Picot
      Start date : End of April / Early May
