I love baking that allows me to sneak some veggies in. It makes me feel better about eating half the loaf in one day.
This buttered banana chocolate chip oatmeal is a go-to on weekends when I'm feelin' fancy but don't want to put a ton of work in. Cinnamon and cardamom are subtle, but definitely a highlight.
It’s a recipe I turn to when I don’t know what to make, but have some vegetables on hand and I want something warming and comforting.

I will never forget the amazing pierogi that my babcia used to make. She made all kinds of pierogi - Ruskie (cottage cheese & potato), spinach and cheese, mushroom and cabbage, minced pork... even blueberry pierogi! They are a labour of love but it's all worth it in the end when you realize you've made enough to feed a small village.
I'm not sure what's happening but I'm going through a real cranberry-orange phase, and this time it's taken the form of cranberry orange scones.
